I have never read a dystopian before and I really enjoyed The Initiation. I was just in awe, I was so into it. I liked the writing style, it was easy, good flow, wasn't confusing. Although everything that happens was pretty much a mystery to me, you get all your questions answered little by little, in the best of ways in my opinion.

The world is dangerous and crazy and kinda scary. The characters are both realistic and likable and the way they interact is so relatable and real. I couldn't put the novel down. Events in the book are so outrageous but I think that is part of what keeps you engaged. I'll leave it at that so as to not give anything away. Overall, I find the concept of the story good. This is a great read and I can't wait for the sequel!
